Quit trying so hard to produce fruit! The branches never focusing on the fruit, they focus on the vine. As believers we abide in Jesus. We believers need to sink into Jesus. Invest into our relationship and understanding in Him. John 15 is very clear in what comes first.
I am the vine; you are the branches.
Whoever abides in me and I in him,
he it is that bears much fruit,
for apart from me you can do nothing.
Here is just one reason why:
If we are fruit focused, we will go tired and weary if we don’t see what we define as fruit. We define fruit as what is visible most of the time. We define seasons. We define people. Jesus is in charge of fruit production and we are called to abide in Him, so let us abide.
